Achieve, a consulting firm for nonprofits, has launched a new program that will provide services free of charge for three organizations.

Designed to help small- to medium-sized nonprofits build capacity and impact, the grants may be used to help with strategic planning, board training, board retreat facilitation or other capacity-building services.

Three Achieve Grants are available for 2009: one for one year of Achieve Complete services (valued at $2,200) for any Indiana nonprofit organization; one for one year of Achieve Complete services (valued at $2,200) for any organization outside of Indiana; and one for one year of Achieve Consulting services (value to be determined by scope of services and up to $10,000).

Achieve Complete includes: Access to Achieve’s online Resource Library of more than 120 templates and guidance pieces; 24 Webinar sessions; the Achieve It! project and goal-setting tool; and a subscription to Achieve’s monthly newsletter. Achieve Consulting clients will receive all of the above, plus consulting and training services.

Grantees will be chosen through an RFP process and based on each organization’s level of need and stage of organizational development, as described in the organization’s proposal.

To apply, organizations should use the online application at http://AchieveGuidance.com/page/grants.

Proposals are due Oct. 31, 2008. Selections will be made by Achieve’s Advisory Board. Recipients will be announced Dec. 1, 2008, and the grants will be awarded for calendar year 2009.
